DEscendit Angelus Domini ad Zachariam dicens
accipe puerum in senectute tua
Et habebit nomen Ioannes Baptista.
NE timeas quoniam exaudita est oratio tua
et Elizabeth uxor tua pariet tibi filium
Et habebit nomen Ioannes Baptista.
Translation
The Angel of the Lord came to Zechariah, saying:
Receive a child in your old age:
and he shall be called John the Baptist.
Do not fear, for your prayer has been answered,
and Elizabeth your wife will bear a son for you:
and he shall be called John the Baptist.
